| Wow! Let me say THANK YOU to all of you who came to the committee meeting last night. I want to apologize for my long winded ness, as you can tell I am a bit passionate about the subject. Here is a recap as I see it. - Everyone is encouraged to go to www.firstgiving.com/LittletonRotaryClubs to register for the race, (yes even if you do not intend to run, walk or meander the course) Once you have registered you will allowed to created your own personal fundraising page. (HINT: it is easiest if you create your message in WORD then copy and paste it to the page. If you would like me to send you my wording I will be glad to do so.
- Tell everyone you know about the event and share your fund raising page.
- First thing on the agenda is to gather the names, contacts, e mails and phone numbers of area non-profit organizations. David Fornof (dfornof@msn.com) and Courtney Snowberger (courtney.snowberger@arapahoe.edu) have agreed to take on this project. Please send any ideas to them. Once we have the "non-Profit package" proofed we will get it out to the contacts on the list. Our goal to complete this project is first week in April.
- Second is to gather names of groups, school athletic associations that may be interested in fund raising for their cause. Stephanie Gillman has agreed to gather this information for us so please send her information at gillmans@live.com. I am working on their introduction letter and will have it completed by next week. Rick Clark did you say you were going to approach Scott Murphy to enlist his idea in how to contact these folks?
Next meeting we are going to look at a "Rotary Challenge" and the "Business Challenge". In the mean time Earl Hasz and I are working on getting the Sunrise web site updated. Once we have that accomplished we will give the data to the Noon Club's web master. We are also getting the race posted on event calendars. Keep thinking about possible sponsors. Sponsorship package is attached. Let me know who you are sending it to. We will start putting together our marketing packages in April to be ready to go for May 1. As you all know, this event is limitless in its potential. I shared ideas last night and encourage everyone to think on it so we can expand our exposure and success. Does April 1 work for the next meeting? Sue Santori Littleton Sunrise Rotary c. 720-289-0797 5900 S Vine St Greenwood Vill, CO 80121 |
